We believe that the Holy Bible, as originally written, was verbally inspired and the product of Spirit-controlled men, and therefore is truth without a mixture of error for its matter. We believe that it is the true center of Christian union and the only infallible rule for all human conduct, creeds, and opinions, (2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:19-21
Although we have not added to our Statement of Faith a statement concerning the KJV, We hold the position that the King James Bible is the preserved Word of God for the English Language, and that all translation to other languages should be from the underling Textus Receptus for the New Testament and the Masoretic Text for the Old Testament.
2 Peter 1:19-21 KJV "19 ¶ We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."(Back)
